A blog about running a small (very small) custom art company while chasing around two young children.

New Computer for a Pair of 30 Year Olds
Today we got a new computer. Yey! After researching reviews on-line we decided on an Acer Aspire laptop. It has fancy things like an i5 processor and other computer jargon that I don't understand. Good thing Nick knows about all that stuff. So no more computer crashing while editing my website. Computer slowness and crashing problems is why my website is long overdue for updates. I want to add galleries for clock colors and shapes as well as a gallery of past custom orders. I also need to add an extra large clock product page.
I have been busy busy this week working on clocks and orders. I am just about caught up with orders. The extreme heat and humidity have made finishing a bit of a challenge, but I should be completely caught up on orders by Monday.
My card reader showed up a mere two days after I ordered it. Super fast shipping! I hooked it up to the new computer today and registered it to my Propay account. I did a test run with my Paypal debit card. It worked great. Just a quick swipe and the info was easy to access, encrypted so the only card numbers I saw were the last four. Safety for my customers which is very important to me!
Oh yeah, I turned 30 this week. Holy crap. If you had told me a year ago that I would be a non drinking vegetarian Buddhist when I turned 30 I would have laughed my ass off. But here I sit, a non drinking vegetarian Buddhist. Life is quite a ride!
